Removing
Contamination Mold & Mildew, and Odor from Fabric, Fine Clothing and
Closets
Nok-Out
is a True Broad Spectrum Deodorant and Mildicide, not-toxic, does not create
harmful byproducts, is non-carcinogenic (cannot cause cancer),
non-mutagenic (organisms cannot mutate or become immune to
destruction), is biodegradeable, non-allergenic, and environmentally friendly.
This is a product that oxidatively eliminates organic and
inorganic sources of odor pollution as well as destroying
mold and mildew spores. Nok-Out has a cumulative and
residual long lasting affect. When applying Nok-Out, you will never have to wear special clothing or gear for protection. But, your home, vehicle, business, and office will be protected whenever Nok-Out is used!
APPLICATION
PROCEDURES:
(Note:
Nok-Out works by oxidation, and to be totally effective, it
must get on the source of the problem.
If possible, locate the site of the contamination before proceeding.
If the problem is wide-spread treat the entire garment.)
- Consider
the type of fabric before proceeding with application.
Nok-Out is water based, and if the fabric is incompatible
with water, or subject to ‘ringing’, special
care must to taken to not saturate the cloth, or to treat
it to harshly. In this instance, several quick treatments
may be more effective than one intense handling. If
this is the treatment of choice, dry quickly and thoroughly
between applications.
- Nok-Out
has a pH of 8.5, and is enhanced in an alkaline environment.
If other cleaning or deodorizing products have been used
prior to applying Nok-Out, apply Club Soda, or a mild baking
soda solution (1 Tablespoon of baking soda to one gallon of water) to the affected sites before applying Nok-Out.
This will neutralize the area, and allow Nok-Out to be more
effective.
- Spray
Nok-Out on all surfaces of the garment, both inside and
outside. Pay particular attention to seams, collars,
cuffs, button holes, or other fasteners as odors and mold
spores tend to collect in these sites. Allow to dry
quickly.
- If
all garments in your closet seem to be affected, or for
clothing that has been long in storage, and to prevent mold
or other odors from transferring to your present garments,
fog the entire closet with Nok-Out, full strength.
You may or may not remove the clothing for this application,
depending upon the intensity of the odors. When you
remove garments, spray the baseboards and corners of the
closet. If a vent is present in this room, spray into
the vent as well. Close the door, and allow Nok-Out
to penetrate into the entire room for up to 10 minutes.
Dry area quickly with a fan or wipe walls and flooring of
all remaining moisture.
- In
24 hours, if odors return, re-apply Nok-Out which has been
reduced 50% with water. The rationale for the reapplication
is that all odors may not have been reached by Nok-Out during
the first application and the odor molecules have leached
to the surface. The second application will complete the
odor removal process.
Closet Odor
- Remove clothing from closet. If visible mildew or mold is present, carefully sponge it away with a damp sponge.
- If clothing is washable, place in the washing machine with 8 oz of Nok-Out in the 'soak' cycle. Allow to soak for 10 minutes before continuing to wash as usual.
