Mold & Mildew Issues: Musty Odors always mean moisture, and mold follows! To remedy the odor, you must follow to the source of the moisture. Generally, this moisture is near the packaged terminal air conditioning units, air vents and bathrooms. Also look at outside areas adjacent to the rooms, like walkways and balconies, or air handlers. Any place there is water...is a chance of mold, because moisture is mold's food source. Mold might be growing up walls, or on the floor under carpet. Once found, and you have eliminated the source of the moisture, you can remedy the problem with Nok-Out. Spray/Saturate the contaminated area completely. Allow to saturate for up to 10 minutes allowing 'wicking' to occur. Extract moisture using a carpet cleaner or wet-dry vacuum. Allow to air dry. Re-apply in 24 hours using a 50% reduction with water, if any musty smells return.
Guest
Rooms: Smoking
rooms may be fogged or aerosolized daily to make them virtually
smoke free. Using a fogger, a dilution rate of 50% Nok-Out
and water is acceptable. Spray around urinals, and toilet
bowls to remove body odors from grout. Spray air conditioning
filters and vents to insure good air quality. When changing
bed linens, spray with a reduction of 50% before placing in
a hamper or chute. Spray Nok-Out on mattress and pillow
protectors, and allow to air dry.
Laundry
Rooms: Use
in wash or rinse water to insure no malodors in bedding. Add
2 ounces per gallon of rinse water.
Vending
Rooms: Spray
liberally to eliminate odors of spilled liquids.
Hallways:
Aerosolize
with a 50/50 reduction with water.
Meeting
Rooms: Spray
around doors, entrances and drapes to prevent smoking odors
where smokers congregate from pervading into the meeting rooms.
Garbage
Areas: Where
garbage secretions have occurred and penetration has reached
the hard surfaces, surface application should use
Nok-Out 1:1 with water. Allow deep penetration and standing
on the area. With a longstanding problem, it is sometimes
best to apply a second application where certain sections
may have been missed in these difficult areas. For application
around trash compactors, it is wise to use a fogger on a time
cycle.
Restaurants
and Lounges:
Spray around the bar area to eliminate stale/sour liquor odors.
Spray the overflow drain.
Use as a wiping solution on counters and tables. Mix 1:1 with
water for best results.
In the Kitchen, spray garbage pails, appliances, exhaust fans
and cutting boards
