SUGGESTED PRESCRIPTIONS FOR THE APPLICATION
OF AMAZING NOK-OUT!

GENERAL TIPS:

  • Always dry the site completely after using NOK-OUT.  Because Nok-Out works by oxidation, it must be thoroughly dry to complete the job.   Nok-Out continues to work when dry.
  • Residual odors from household fires (as when the popcorn burns up in the microwave) can be treated with a good spray of NOK-OUT.
  • Recreational vehicles when re-opened for the season may be completely deodorized and sanitized with NOK-OUT Specific application instructions are available upon request.
  • Spray NOK-OUT around the base of the toilet Allow it to penetrate into the grout
  • Stinky shoes and boots will smell fresh as new when treated with NOK-OUT Specific application directions upon request.
  • After the party is over refresh your home by spraying NOK-OUT all over the house.  Use as fine a misting sprayer as possible for the best penetrating results. The Fogmaster Jr is a good way to apply Nok-Out for air borne odor removal.
  • Remove pet odors by spraying the site of the odor problem.  Whether carpet, hard flooring, walls or concrete surfaces, Nok-Out is effective to totally eliminate the problem odor.  It is safe to use on your pet's coat when outside soiling has corrupted your animal friend, and bathing is not an option.
  • Always note that to be perfectly effective, Nok-Out must reach the source of the odor! Once this occurs, through oxidation, Nok-Out completely eliminates the odor.

SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS:

  • Hard & porous surfaces:
Ceramic Tile, linoleum, Concrete, Coated Concrete Flooring Surfaces: The first application should be Nok-Out full strength; thereafter, 16 oz. Nok-out per gallon of mop water for full sanitizing effects or 8 oz. Nok-Out per gallon water for odor control only . Allow to air dry where possible, as Nok-Out will absorb into the open pores of these surfaces, and will have longer residual effects.

Wood Surfaces: Use the same procedure as above, except that the flooring should be mopped damp dry after each application, and should not be allowed to soak in Nok-out, as it is water based . It is useful to spray Nok-Out into all flooring seams, and allow penetrating before mopping up, as odors seem to collect in creases, seams and other small crevices.

Painted or Papered Wall Surfaces, Baseboards:
Apply as for tile and other hard surfaces; noting the use (for sanitizing and/or odor control only) Nok-Out must reach into all cracks and crevices to completely remove odors . Saturate behind baseboards carefully.

  • Carpeted Surfaces: If other carpet cleaners have been used neutralize the carpet with a weak baking soda solution, using either a carpet cleaner, or to pre-treat selected spots . (Nok-Out is an alkaline product, and is most effective in a Ph base of 8.0 or above.)  Then, soak the area with Nok-Out full strength Allow saturating into the padding, if possible . Nok-Out may be sponged up with a towel, and carpet allowed to air dry. When using a commercial carpet cleaner, add 16 oz. Of Nok-Out to the cleaner tank, and fill with water.

  • Laundry Applications: If laundry is soiled with feces, urine, or other foul odors, add 8 oz. to the wash load. To both remove odors, and sanitize (as with baby laundry), use 16 oz. of Nok-Out per load. Although Nok-Out is an oxidizer, it is non-staining, non-bleaching, hypoallergenic, and non-toxic . It is safe to use on fabric, which may be next to your skin. Nok-Out is safe to use on an animals fur, if you are trying to rid the pet on noxious odors (skunk, feces, other awful smells).

  • Kitchen, Bathroom, Sickroom, Baby Room Applications: Refrigerators, inside and outside surfaces, Garbage Disposals, Microwaves, Counter Tops, Cutting Boards, Kitchen Tables, Garbage Cans, Chairs, Dishwashers are all subject to odors from foods . To sanitize, spray directly on the above mentioned surfaces. Allow to air dry.

Toilet seats, toilet base, the grout around the toilet, are apt to retain odors of urine and feces. To remove these odors, saturate Nok-Out on the grout around the toilet, wipe the toilet bowl and seat with Nok-Out to sanitize and fully control odor.

Mattress Covers, door knobs, baby tables, high chairs, feeding tables, bed trays, all utensils and objects used in the sickroom and nursery may safely be sprayed or washed with Nok-Out. Baby toys can be washed with a diluted solution of Nok-Out to ensure sanitary play. Where odors persist in the sick room, select one of our fine misting sprayers to deodorize the air, and kill germs, and mildew spores that may be in the environment.
