Procedures for using Nok-Out in Healthcare Settings:

• Nok-Out is ideal for individuals who use and must clean tracheostomy catheters after suctioning. Nok-Out may safely be used for both deodorizing and disinfecting issues.  Pour a few ounces of Nok-Out into a small clean container and suction Nok-Out through the catheter until it is free of mucus.  Wipe the outside of the catheter with gauze that has been moistened with Nok-Out.  Suction sterile salt water throught the catheter and suction air until the catheter is free of all liquids.  Let air dry.  You may safely use Nok-Out to clean and disinfect your suction machine and humidifier.
  

• Use the handy battery operated sprayer whenever airborne odors are a problem. The sprayer fits on top of the  32 oz. Trigger Sprayer. Use Nok-Out liberally to sweep clean all bad odors from the air. If extra humidity is needed in the room, a vaporizer may be used containing 8 oz. of Nok-Out with one gallon of water, running for up to 4 hours at a time. Nok-Out is EPA Registered to remove odors upon contact, and to disinfect every time it is used.

Before placing clean sheets on the bed, spray Nok-Out on the mattress cover, or egg crate protector, and allow to dry for a few minutes. You will find a residual protection in this method.
• If a person is allergic to laundry soap, adding 4 oz. of Nok-Out for every 20 gallons of water in the washer can eliminate the soap enzyme. Patients allergic to deodorants can use Nok-Out to eliminate body odors.
• Smelly mattresses and mattress pads may be rescued from body secretion odors. Long-standing odors may pose a more difficult application procedure but once NOK-OUT gets on the SOURCE of the problem, it is gone.
• Sponge or spray NOK-OUT directly on bed sores or other suppurating wounds soothes at the site. NOK-OUT will destroy bacteria that cause mal-odors and which allow recommended salves and ointments to be more effective. Nok-Out is EPA registered to be safe to apply even to fragile, delicate skin.
